To me, cable-less and culturally clueless, the Prince of Darkness IS his prince-like icon.

So, I walk into my classroom and the teacher before me had put up a bunch of student-created movie posters for Shakespeare's The Tempest, complete with printed off pictures of celebrities to play all the parts. And there is THE PRINCE OF DARKNESS, the same picture and everything, next to Johnny Depp and Anne Hathaway. Took me several minutes to detemine that it was Chapelle, but I was truly shook and confused.

That's awesome. I've done that with obscure albums before... walk into a store, pick up a cd and have a miniature obner-related freakout.

The Prince gave me some advice about a club we were playing at in Chicago, and in the back of my mind, I was kind of keeping an eye out for that exact guy in the club. "Ah, you must be the Prince of Darkness."

Yeah its actually pretty funny when you actually see a pic of a obner, cause yr so used to their icon pics. You start to associate them with the person.

Probably a month ago. Nice place, nice people. The place got packed out with excitable frat types for Back Yard Tire Fire. Then those guys played a show with us the next night in a Cincinnati-area place, which was packed out with lethargic indie types.
