i bought the i830 a year ago - this phone has terrible reception compared to other phones i have in the past + nextel knew this and actually discontinued it (design flaw).

i called nextel - rentention center

for FREE
i got the i870 (2 year agreement)
or
i850 (1 year agreement)

just thought i would pass that along to any i830 users who want a new phone.
