Just saw it on 24. Looks pretty good. I hope it is as epic in scope/execution as the trailer leads me to believe it is.

I'm still not over the fact that Ratner directed this.

I don't know anything about that director. I was hoping that Singer would be doing it again because I have liked the previous two immensely. However, the preview makes me think it is going to be really good. It looks maybe a bit darker. I am excited to go and see it. I cannot wait. I imagine though that I would have gone to see it even if the preview didn't look that great.

I liked the trailer and have always been a bit leery of Ratner's involvement as well. To be fair, he did take on 'Red Dragon' and did a good job on that one. If one hated that movie, you have to concede it was true to the novel and he at least didn't fuck it up and make it a quippy action comedy with Lecter and Will Graham as a mismatched sleuthing team always at each others throats (literally!). There's hope at least.

as i pointed out to my roommate, it wasn't the direction that made the rush hour movies so appalling.

i know it, was Chris Tucker not talking about weed the whole time.
