While I certainly appreciate and welcome everyone's feedback regarding the site and the reviews, it would also be cool if you all used these threads to debate the pros and cons of the album in question. You know, kind of like we did with Listmania!

So, let's hear some discussion regarding the merits of The Hold Steady - Almost Killed Me...

It'll sneak into my Top 20. I think the lyrics are smart and witty and the music has some great power chordage. The thing, to me, that it misses the most is great choruses. Granted I'm a sucker for a great sing along chorus.

I listen to it wanting a bigger pay off. But with lines like the one above, I keep coming back to it for the verbiage.
