i didn't see it yesterday when i picked up mogwai and campbell/lanegan.

he performed some of it when he opened for tweedy a couple weeks ago. it was pretty impressive stuff, but i'm not sure it's something i'd listen to a lot.

It was one of the 2 discs I bought yesterday. If you like Kotche's previous outings--you'll dig it. If you like avant garde drum/textural layers using fun percussive things--you'll dig it. He played much of the album when he opened for Tweedy, and I listened to the hell out of those performances, the album, actually comes through better for once. I really, really like it. Recommended.

yeah, i picked it up on tuesday as well. layed cerebral percussion. good album. great artwork.
