I'm watching some jazz doc on Howard University Television right now, and while I'm not much of a jazz guy, Monk is really grabbing my attention here. Hell, just watching him is interesting.

Any recommendations to dip my toe in?

I think "Brilliant Corners" is generally considered a good starting point, but it's the only one I have, so what do I know?

Brilliant Corners is strong, also good entry point.

Monk's Dream and even Monk. (1964) all good places to start as well before you get into the weirder shit.
