so last night, a local title company sponsored a private party with 3 dog night as the entertainment. the majority in attendance were mostly realtors and bankers, but lets just say it was predominantly middle-aged and white on rice.
regarding the show, it was cool to hear how many great songs they wrote and recorded, and to think how truly big they were back then, but i didn't need to see 60yrs old singers cracking wise about viagra and donning blingbling while putting a hiphop spin on an old song -- it was really embarrassing. let alone, seeing middle-aged men and women attempting to dance.

moral of the story: rock-n-roll's a young man's gig.

I wish someone would tell that to the Stones

Did they really write anything they recorded?

Was Chuck Negron back with them?

Dude went from heroin freak to evangelist and rehab expert from the 70's to the 90's.

Also his moustache ranks among the best of the 20th century.

reminds me of the time foreigner and BTO came to my town about three years ago for an "end of summer jam." lou gramm was so out of shape that between every few songs he had to go backstage and wheeze.

Nope. Nothing good, anyway. I think they poached all their singles from up-and-coming songwriters like Randy Newman and John Hiatt.

I'm certainly no Foreigner apologist...but I know there was a time when Lou Gramm got really sick. I think it was one of those mysterious disease deals, & he almost died. That might explain why he looked so bad.

As far as the 3 Dog Night deal goes...I've seen other middle-aged, white guys try that "hip-hop spin" thing on old songs, & it's about the most embarrassing thing I can think of. Even if they're doing it as a "joke"...it's still lamer than a 2 legged dog.

If memory serves, Gramm had a brain tumor
