I remember a number of Obnerians talking smack about the bhoys in green last summer. To put things in perspective:

Team Pld Pts
CELTIC 28 70
HEARTS 28 57
RANGERS 28 49

I've seen Celtic twice this season and can tell you they play in a shite-shite-shite formation.

Which, of course, is why I posted this... to see y'all squirm while being so far down in the standings... i.e. this logic:

Celtic are shite
They are 21 points ahead of Rangers
Therefore Rangers are....??

Do you get to many SPL games in Santa Cruz?

Otherwise you seem to be assuming level of performance from points total which can, and in this case is, misleading. Many Celtic supporters actually want the coach fired after their humilating 0-5 defeat in the Champions League, defeat to a lower division side in the Scottish Cup and general poor displays in the league.

They have simply been lucky that Rangers are even worse and Hearts blew their league hopes when their meglomaniac chairman fired the coach when they were undefeated and top of the league.

As for me, I have a season ticket at Fir Park, which as you may or may not know (since your knowledge of Scottish football seems to be sketchy and derived from tables), is the home of Motherwell FC, a team that despite having a player budget 10 times smaller than Celtic have still completely outplayed them twice this season.

Yep, I remember you are a Motherwell guy not Rangers (oh, and what's the Rangers' budget). I am on the Celtic network so have seen play streaming.... seems to me they're playing efficient football. I know the coach was in trouble early... and many think he's temporary anyway.

But ultimately it's a game... and who wins (scores points in a match, and in table of standings) is what matters.

I have been a Celtic fan since the 60's. It's good to be on top.

We play at Carlisle virtually every pre-season.

We usually win 2-1 or 1-0 and steal one of their players.

No wonder they emigrated, Carlisle is a grim dump.

Not sure if your out there tonight Northern soul but Carlisle are 1-0 up at half-time, although my boys have had more of the game. Hit crossbar and the Carlisle goalkeeper is having a great game.

Come on Northampton.

Hey, I see a couple of familar faces in the Northampton squad, namely Eion Jess and David Rowson.

Does either of them get a game? Eion Jess (great player in his day) must be getting on a bit now, 35? 36?.

I always thought David Rowson was a decent, if not spectacular, player in that midfield grafter role.

EDIT: Junior Mendes too. He was at St.Mirren for a while but flattered to deceive. Andy Kirk was at Hearts for a while. Got injured and fell out of things.

Yeah Jess is a regular, getting a bit of stick lately though, gives the ball away too cheaply but we try to play football possibly too much for league two.

Rowson has had his problems with injuries but he is fighting With Ian Taylor, ex villa player who has been oustanding (must be 37!) so he's struggling to get in. Good player though.

We also have Chris Doig who i believe is Scottish who has been player of the year.

Of course we also have Colin Calderwood as manager.

Our Star player is Andy Kirk who i think played for Hearts, but again has been injured most of the season although he is back tonight.

EDIT-Junior Mendes did really well for us but he decided to join Grimsby on deadline day unfortunately.
