my brother and his wife just had their baby last night. that makes me an uncle! wooohooo!

music related - anyone have those cds that i believe are called Baby IQ, a series of cds with classical music on them?

i suppose we could get into a discussion on whether or not listening to classical music makes your kid smarter, but all i really want to know if those Baby IQ compilations are quality cds with good sound (you can get them for $4.99 and look kinda generic-y)

I was a great-uncle by the time I was 20 because I have a nephew who's only a year younger than me.

Congratulations!
And I think you're referring to baby Mozart series?
No?

Anyway, just get the kid some Ramones CDs and (s)he'll be all right.

My oldest brother was born in 1948. I was born in 1966, so my two younger brothers were younger than my oldest brother's kid.

"So, your nephew is really your 2nd cousins twice removed mailmans neighbor? This is all highly illogical!"

My mom had 13 kids between 1948 and 1969.

She says "blame your father."
