I put a song by them on my last mix. They kind of reminded me of Mclusky, except less snarky. Their last album (or was it an ep?) was produced by Albini, if I remember correcltly.

listed influences: "THE CLEAN/GREAT UNWASHED/DAVID KILGOUR:here come the cars "

So I give them points for that. They sort of sound like that other Kiwi band the 3Ds, who rather sound like the Pixies.

Garageland are the biggest kiwi Pixies ripoffs, not the 3Ds

Never said the 3Ds were the biggest. I like the 3Ds. I don't like Garageland. Perhaps there is meaning in that.

they are good. This sound seems to be pretty big in NZ, Brisbane, and Melbourne as of late. Which is good.
