College Basketball is about ready to start today, I was wondering if anyone thinks Miami could beat Duke, Virginia beat UNC, Michigan State beat Illinois and Arizona beat UCLA?
Those all seem to be the games where no one could easily call an upset like Pitt over Nova, Syracuse over Georgetown, Minnesota over Iowa or Nebraska over OU.

I thought about that one, but didn't think it would be that big since Maryland has been tough in the past and is on the bubble.

Duke down 6 at the half to Miami...

All Duke is doing is throwing up 3's.

I'm in your corner, even if Pitt did go dirty to beat Marquette in the first meeting (@ Pitt). That said, a deep run by the Panths in the conference tourney will prolly get them a better seed (4? 3??), and will make my final four projection that much likelier (but still dependent on brackets).

(Final four prediction: Villanova, Pittsburgh, Gonzaga, Texas.)

UVA and UNC split head to head this year but I think UNC is playing too good right now.

A couple good ones in the SEC today:

Bama/ Kentucky
Florida/Arkansas

Kentucky probably needs this one to get into the tourney but the other 3 are already locks.

ducks took out the huskies last night - pretty huge upset after the ducks looked to be dead in the water.

This helps assuage my dolour over the MU loss against Georgetown.

Moreover, this assured that the Golden Eags will have a higher seed than the Badgers.

Six for Marquette, eight or nine for 'Sconny... Twelve for UW-Milwaukee?

Can you tell me when the duke/miami game is on. As in hours from now, with the time difference and all.

I just hope the trend stops by the time Nebraska & Arkansas play tonight.

If Arkansas keeps winning they may move up to a #7 or #6. I'm still betting on an #8 seed.

Nebraska, on the other hand, will be heading to the NIT unless they win the whole Big XII tourney (which ain't happening).

Leave it to Nebraska to blow three easy games to end the season and then win two in the tournament. If they would have won two out of the last three and then had this tournament performance they would probably be a ten seed. I'd love to see them pull the upset on the Jayhawks today to continue the cinderella run.

Not a chance Texas makes the final four.

Gonzaga only does well when people expect them to be crap. The instant they're favored, it's out in round one or two.

Amazing that I only have to sub out Gonzaga for North Carolina... Maybe I should consult with Prof. Lunardi and see if I can get a coupla credits toward a major in bracketology.
