I just got mine today, and after skipping over it the first time, I read it and I must say, it's one of the saddest break ups of a band that I've heard about. I'm not a big Grandaddy fan, but you gotta feel something for a band that goes out like that.

Has the new album leaked yet? How is it?

I read in Harp magazine that Jason Lytle once bitch slapped Courtney Taylor Taylor from the Dandys backstage. That had to have been interesting to witness.

I haven't heard anything off the new album yet (unless the song that plays when you access their site is from the new album). I never checked out that ep they put out in 2005 because everyone said it sucked. I am anticipating the new release though. Sumday was one of my favorite albums of 2003. I'm hoping they don't repeat themselves on this one. Judging by the song that plays when you access their site, it seems they are shooting for a more abrasive sound this time around...which I'm all for.

First song on the new one is pretty good. The rest is the suck IMO. Def not as good as Sumday, and I didn't even like Sumday that much.

I thought it was reported as something akin to Billy Corgan's "we can't fight against the Britneys of the world" Pumpkins breakup, basically "we can't sell enough records so we're just not going to make them anymore." I'd like to be wrong, but I don't think I am, I remember reading that in several places. If that's really the case, good riddance.

The second time I saw them they were easily the most unhealthy looking band outside of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs I'd ever seen. I was pretty sure the drummer was gonna have a heart attack be the fourth song.
