That's awesome. I love creepy biblical ones. Reminds me of the famous one with doubting Thomas sticking his fingers in Jesus's wounds.

we finally done it . found someting in common. I was having a brain fart on my original post, but Carragio is one of my favorites too and that is one of my favorite paintings ever.

on the subject of weird biblcal paintings.

one day i took a really slow walk through that section of the philadelphia art museum. I had never really gone through there slowly and absorbed all the strange and complicated imagry. As the years passed the paintings got more and more insane with more and more detail.

after leaving, i finally understood why modernism happened.

I don't think that is a weird painting. Salome is a classic subject- there are hundreds like it!
