Soaring and eclectic pop music from London's Guillemots. For a young band, they have a gorgeous, sophisticated sound that's very hard to pin down.

If there's one tune I've posted the past few weeks, this is the one that I most highly recommend. Outstanding music.

This track will be available on their forthcoming album released later this year.

I'm going to see them play 8th April.

I don't think much to them from what i've heard but i would like to check them out live.

the guillemots: first show of 2006 that i walked out of while the band was still playing. it was horrible. if you like it, please let me know and tell me why.

I like the album a lot. It is hard to pin down because the songs go from pretty to cacophony, often within the same song.

I'm afraid this might be one of those bands that I prefer recorded vs live.

Tania, you go to about 72 shows a day. I get to about two a year.
So it's not really an issue on my end.
