I haven't ordered cd's from labels in a rather long time until recently. But, I distinctly remember getting not just one but multiple stickers or some other sort of related merchandise from the labels. At least the past 10 cd's I have ordered directly from the label have only contained the disc and a receipt. My curiousity has led me to seeking the opinion from "the obnermality".

I don't know if you're being sarcastic or not.

i thought you were talking about price stickers and all on the cds, not merch stickers. I need the senator's reading comp class.

I got a nice hand-written note from Beckie Foon from Esmerine/A Silver Mt. Zion when I ordered direct from them. Haven't seen a sticker in a long while though.

Of course, Beckie is the exception to the norm.

Order from the Ninjashop. You're likely to receive stickers and extra CDs.

It depends who/where you order from, I guess.

I ordered a couple discs from Saddle Creek and they came with a handful of stickers. Ordered from Guster and same thing.

Saddle Creek doesn't seem to stick as many in them as they used to, it could just be they don't send you that many if you order multiple times from them.

There's no way they're keeping track of that. If anything, they'd send you more. Just be nice to your mailorder person. The fact is that stickers are a superfluous expense.

I just think the hand written notes get more personal, the more you order.

I got stickers with my last Barsuk and Jade Tree orders.

I always seem to get stickers and/or small posters when I order directly from Merge. The order girl from DeSoto used to include a brief thank-you note with all orders. I think the folks at Dischord do the same.

Saddlecreek sent me a sweet note the last time. Warmed my heart immensely.

Insound doesn't seem to put as much of a grab-bag in as they used too. No more indie trading cards!
