Being from Michigan, I have always checked out their stuff. Not sure if too many obners know/listen to them. Interesting stuff.

Description (amg)
Saturday Looks Good to Me began in late 1999 when Fred Thomas of Flashpapr and Lovesick began to assemble a supergroup of musicians from Michigan's indie rock scene to create a festive Beach Boys-inspired pop band.

Anyway, I just got their latest album, Sound on Sound.

Definitely good stuff. I have a cassette of Fred Thomas too, and while it's good, and similar to SLGTM, it's just not as good. Have you heard any of the other projects he's been in?

they (lovesick) different style of music.....

they were more or less an emo band. that fred thomas dude is a weird character as well. he would "preach" in between songs.

I liked what I've heard and I'll probably see them open for Mates of State next week at the Metro.

I liked their second album A LOT more than their first. This new one is in my queue on eMusic, so I'll probably be grabbing it this week.
