Here’s a great start to the day.

1) Arrive at my elevator bank and see 30-40 people waiting because the elevators are all screwed up. Out of 8, two are down, and we have to go up to the floors 54-68.

2) Decide to take the freight elevator and bypass all the madness.

3) There are two service elevators, one goes to floor 40 where you change over to travel the remainder and the other goes up all 81… the G-40 one comes first, so I get on... when I get out, the freight that takes you to 80 is also broken down.

4) Walked 24 flights of stairs. Needed 4 breaks.

5) Get asked why I’m late.

Best part was, I thought I heard an alarm going off right when I got to my floor. Those fucks in the control room probably had a great laugh. Anyone else ever have to take this many stairs when they're out of shape? I'm fucking beat.

Try being 6 mos pregnant and walking up a couple flights. In low heels no less.

Ugh.

For some reason the stairs out of the L stations are the worst. Damn near killed me today.
