I really liked it. However, if I had never read Crime and Punishment by Dostoevsky, I have a feeling I would have thought it was a piece of shit. I'm surprised that so many reviewers who are seemingly unfamiliar with that novel like it so much; if I hadn't known the story ahead of time, the whole shooting scene wouldn't have seemed believable in the least. Chris just wasn't crazy enough of a person to go do that type of thing.
