all of my friends who got straight-edge tattoos broke. i was one of the only ones that didn't. and i've been straight-edge for ten years.

I don't understand the focus on straight edge tattoos, are you implying that every one of them is just going through a phase? Post some pictures of people with huge Jesus tattoos on their chest and go, "Ooh, it's just a phase. What idiots."

i'd say the vast majority of those that are into the straight edge music and lifestyle break. every single one of my friends that were SXE back in the day broke, and now enjoy the wonderful world of t-bones, vodka, dogstyle, and some of them even harder bits and pieces.

yes, it's a phase. i still enjoy the hell out of some of the music, but the lifestyle in general is a phase [with a few x'ceptions]

Straightedgers are a lot nicer crowd than many idealogues. Most of the ones I've met I have considerable respect for.

Vegetarian
No casual sex
No meds (unless they're really, really sick - so no meds for anything aspirin would fix)/caffeine
Vegan
No abortion in the community
Vegan and punch out meat eaters ...

I tend to view being straight edge the same way I view being a Neo-Nazi. I have no problem with not doing drugs and keeping your body clean, but you don't have to militant and spread violence and hate. As for the tattoos, they are alot like hate group or gang related tattoos, and probably aren't helping your cause out with normal people.
