Garden Ruin (Dig) is due out on April 11th...

I'm listening to it now for the first time and though I like some of their earlier work, this one is somewhat snooze inducing. Maybe I just need to give it a few more spins though.....I dunno.

I think that the first five tracks are really good. I like that it's more of a rock sound. The end of the disc sort of drags. Even "bad" Calexico is good to me, though.

Give it a few more spins. It's fantastic.
A little less mariachi, a little more pop influence. Even a Serge Gainsbourg inspired track 'Nom de Plume'. Give it a chance.

It's out in the UK today. I dig Feast of Wire quite a bit but am not in a rush to check it.

#7 - 'Lucky Dime' might be one of Joey Burn's best melodies. Ever.

i love the cover art. gave the record a couple of spins, i dig it. then again, i haven't heard too much of calexico's other albums so i can't really compare it to anything else.
