I just got handed an Astros schedule and a note from the boss saying I could get 4 tickets and a parking pass to any of the Astro's home game I want. Help me decide who I should try to see. Any standout matchups I should try to check out?

Who looks good this year? I haven't had a chance at all this season to get into baseball much.

In order, go see

Cards

Cubs

I was already leaning towards the Cards. Should I go in July or September?

I agree with Paper. That Brewers team should be fun to watch. Other possibilities would be St. Louis (obviously), Padres (have a bunch of young, exciting looking players), or maybe the Dodgers or Cubs.

I considered this, but the only home games against SF are next month.

Mets. They look really good and you're getting them later in the year.

Dunn and Jr. are fun to watch.
Go see the Reds if you like seeing the Astros lose. ;)

This is the right choice. Divisional rival with a great player, in September.

Correct. Different atmosphere in Minute Maid when either the Cards, Cubs, or Braves are in town. Hopefully this will be a meaningful game.

You made a wise choice, those two teams have been in the NLCS the last two seasons and will probably contend for it again this year. It is a shame they both were swept by AL teams, although I liked seeing the Chisox win.

I don't get it. Why are the Cards so likable? I can't stand them.

They were the closest National League team to Nebraska as a kid, and I never really liked the Cubs due to my cousins from Iowa. They were all Ryne Sandberg and Andre Dawson fans, while I liked Ozzie Smith and Vince Coleman.
During College I really started following them once they acquired McGwire and Eckersley and got LaRussa as a head coach. I essentially despised them all with the A's, but realized they were all great players and coaches.
More or less though, I have continued to be a fan of the Cards to spite my friends who are rabid Cubs fans.
