Killing the girl who was trying to get out of the car because he was too drunk to drive.

Also, the treatment of pot in this article is fucking absurd.

They "decided that he was definitely too drunk to drive and decided they would permit him to drive a lap around the block" as a test, Castor said.

Well they didn't defintely decide anything then. I feel bad for everyone involved in this. I blame the parents of the party mostly.

Fuck that. Blame the 18 year old dipshit who decided to take other peoples lives into his own hands. I dont know what the parents were supposed to do...they probably should have called the police.

1) Not allowed a drunken pot party

2) Instead of kicking a bunch of drunks out there house, they could have called some parents to come pick up their kids and/or some cabs.

3) Kid is a dipshit, no doubt. Lots of people to blame. But he's young stupid drunk. If your drunk, your probably not making the best decisions and I'm not excusing his behavior. But Parents need to be more responsible and realize that they are enabling this problem around the country.

Who the fuck speeds off with a girl half in the car? I've had a BAL of twice that and still had the common sense to not drive like a fucking moron.

and has anyone really ever felt like superman when they were high on pot? I've done a lot of stupid things, but I can squarely blame alcohol or some worse drug in every instance that didn't include eating 3 lbs of gummi bears.

Alcohol is to blame for 90% of my stupid decisions. The other 10% were made stone cold sober because I'm an idiot.

yeah, the superman comment sounds straight out of one of those 50s anti-pot movies.

Just to clarify, the "kid" is 19 and in college. I don't blame the parents, I blame the 19 year old who killed the girl.

And the girl who got into the car in the first place. Darwin in action.

I never said the driver wasn't to blame, but the girl should also be held somewhat responsible. Again, thank you Mr. Darwin.

yeah, as should the parents at the party as well as the driver's and dead girl's parents. I think the girl who died is probably the most minor offender in the whole story.

Agreed, but not an innocent bystander.

Drunk driving was a direct result of parents allowing drinking to take place in their home and then forcing drunks to leave. Period. I blame the kid too. I always blame the people who should be the most responsible in the group.
