No kids on this day before spring break, and I walk in...

... to Michael Jackson's "I Wanna Rock With You"

which was o.k., a little wierd at the beginning of the work day.

But then... Lady's Night. I fuckin' HATE that song.

I only want to hear that song if i'm getting paid to play it.

Not to mention it's 8 fucking 30 in the morning, clearly NOT Lady's Night.

Then the station i.d. comes on, and they bust into a news story about a cop killing two unnamed carjackers a few blocks from here.

I don't know anything because the radio was shut off over the intercom, very abruptly I might add.

That IS awesome.

I doubt they're my kids, but maybe parents?

Probably parents, possibly of my kids.

this was one of my favorite things about being in school in the evening after everyone has gone home. i used to do a radio show in high school from 230-500 and when we got done at five the school would be empty aside from the janitors, who would be cranking tunes over the pa system. every now and then you'd walk in on one of them using a mop as microphone with "billy jean" blaring over the loudspeaker.
