Does anyone know of a firefox extension that will let you search for a term in all of the pages linked to by the page you're at?

The FTC website's search is a piece of crap, and I can't search among a subset of documents for what I'm looking for. However, those documents are listed on a series of pages organized by month and year. I can't click every damn link, but if i could go through every month's page and search the children, my problems would be solved.

The only way I could even see an extension like this being done is if it could load ALL of the linked pages on a site store them temporarily, then search through ALL of those pages simultaneously. It sounds like it would take a lot of processor power and memory to manage that task.

But I'm not familiar with xul at all, and it might be possible.

Edit: I just realised that Haq probably knows this already. He has done some pretty fancy php round these parts.

Isn't there an extension that downloads all the links on a page? Maybe someone at Mozillazine would get it to do searching as well. Go as them fellas.

i appreciate the vote of confidence, but i don't know xul at all. i'm toying with the idea of doing this, but if i do it will be a real hack that just opens a google search page for each link

there are programs around that will cache pages and all the links in the page (wget, for one). maybe that would do?
