Hey, I'm looking for more good Indie rock bands to get into... any suggestions for someone who likes Grandaddy, Arcade Fire, Murder By Death, and the Unicorns?

Thanks

Oh the hostility.

Stihl, someone will eventually respond seriously.
I'm too lazy, but still.

Oh yeah... I remembered someone saying that was The Unicorns reunited, but it isn't really is it?

But yeah, I'll check em out.

And from cmj.com I've found Mercury Rev, Richard Ashcroft and Bernard Butler that sounded good, so I have a couple songs from them downloading, along with some Islands songs.

I was going to say Islands. Yes, condescendingly.

Have you given Animal Collective a shot at all? I'd think anyone who likes the quirky side of Unicorns would enjoy their stuff.

Were they recently on the cover of a CMJ magazine? If so... I listened to em, and didn't like.

Yeah, also an Indiana band. Which is my hommmmmmeeeetown, always good when a band represents us well, so that people may forget that Haste The Day is from here... *shudder*

menomena is a good, recent indie staple for me. also, i've been into field music a lot lately. kinda beatles-y/shins-y pop. i think it's one of guys from the futureheads but i could be way off on that.

no none of the futureheads are in field music. i found them okay, but lacking in sound quality. i just thought they would sound better if they added a bassist or something.

Field Music is from the same area as the Futureheads. They were ok when I saw 'em at SXSW -- wasn't very impressed.
