 Post subject: sorta nmr: zipping files on a mac

will someone fill me in on how to zip a folder for ysi? i have a mac and am woefully unable to figure out how to do this. thanks.

Just use a trial copy of StuffIt Deluxe. It has a "zip" option.

on system ox all you have to do is highlight the file>>under file (in the top bar) choose create archive.
it's that easy.

Even easier, just drag the folder over the DropZip application icon.

Yeah, you can also Ctrl+click or right-click on a file or folder to bring up this menu.

However, that option may only be available in 10.3 or higher. I dunno.

cool. i suspected "archive" was the answer but i wasn't sure and i don't tend to go clicking around on my laptop without knowing what i'm doing first. i've screwed myself good on a couple of occasions doing that.
