Happy Birfday, Mang.

Think about it. You got no girlfriend to cheat on you, no job to get laid off from, no expensive car repairs, and no plumbing problems.

"i'm single" This is an opportunity. Until you're cool with being single you won't get with anyone. Zen time, boy.

"i'm graduating with zero career options" You are not special.

"I as of now do not own a car." You're lucky. Take it from another non-owner. You're in easy street here, man. Just count up all the dollars you're saving by just spending $90/mo on a bus card.

"I as of now have to move back in to dorm life for one more semester." Yeah, that fucking sucks. No help here.

See, 2 out of 4 things are positive, and the others are at least nothing to freak out about. Chill, man.

Good Zen advice Sir.

You know, i think everyone here can probably help me anyway, because most of you are older than i am and you are probably more cynical already too.

More advice. Or more of a favor asked.... You gotta lose that avatar, man. I'm getting seizures whenever I scroll a page you've posted in.

A happy one to you.
You're still young... don't let the bastards get you down.
I was in basically the same position when I was your age.
Within a few years I was married, had a job in my field, and was well on my way to suburban domesticity.

You got plenty of time. Just enjoy the shows.
:nugene:

Hope it was a happy birthday.

I met her once. Very nice lady. Huge vocal range. Tried to be a light-pop star for about a year and hated it. Back doing Christian folk-rock singer-songwritery/inspirational music now. I don't think much of her music, but my wife likes her.

Happy birthday! It gets a little better for a couple of years before it starts going down hill. My early to mid twenties were some of the best years for me. Still having good times in my late-twenties, just different good times and feeling older in the process.

Isn't that the truth. There's plenty to look forward to. Anyway, HB.

You really should enjoy your twenties. These days, not too many twenty-somethings (especially 24 year olds) have their life in order. Most of them don't have a career, a steady relationship, and still live with mom and dad. I think you're doing fine. Just live your life, have some fun, and everything else will fall into place. But of course, you may have to change that attitude a bit. Don't be so negative.

Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday!

Make sure you listen to "When Yer Twenty Two" by the Flaming Lips at every available opportunity over the next year.

I enjoyed being 22, aside from getting fired for the first time (and last so far), getting the sickest I've ever been in my life just prior to graduation, and having my career hopes severely dashed. Other than that it was great. Seriously.

Cheers! Get an income and a lifestyle...begin to amass wealth. Soon you'll be a grown-up and different stuff will bum you out.

22 to 23 was my best year.
Came into my own a bit...also probably set me back 3-4 years as far as professional development, but who cares? It was a fucked up weird amazing time.
And things will come to you, if you are open to the oportunity..if you are not, they will still be there, but you will fuck them up..ZEN is right.
