Spoke with my brother this weekend, and discussed the pre-set loop that plays at my second job at the mall keno (cineplex, I mean). Among the songs is the stellar new one from Lindsay Lohan -- enters a hall of fame for best sugar-pop, '99-present, alongside "Genie in a Bottle", "Irresistable" (Jessica Simpson), "Hand in My Pocket" (? not sure if this is the title, but it's Mandy Moore's club track from '01) --, and various Spongebob movie cuts. As well, there is the best of the fifteen songs incorporated, Switchfoot's "Meant to Live". (Call me crazy.)

Now, after I hummed a few bars, my brother recognized it, and he said, "I've heard it, and it reminds me of Oasis's "Wonderwall"."

Huh?

My brother has fairly decent, broad taste in music -- White Stripes, Eminem, Evanescence, They Might Be Giants --, but, damn, from where did that come?

Sorry, I don't follow. What's the question?

Does this have something to do with Oingo Boingo?

Um, what exactly are you asking, again?

Are you saying you're no longer a mere princess, but instead the one true God? Or, do you actually like Switchfoot?

... Well, if you are God, or at least part of the pantheon, it would explain Haq's siren get-up. He seduced you so well.

When I was praying last night, God happened to mention that bands like Switchfoot make being a deity a real pain in the ass and he finds it tiresome to put on a facade of thankfulness that he's being praised by such earnest little monkeyboys.
