It's a great cover. One of my favorites off The Big Come Up.

I always forget they had an album before Thickfreakness... Is the rest of it this good? I'd always heard it was a bit underdeveloped.

It's no Rubber Factory, but it's just as good as Thickfreakness

I did too and just bought it last month. It's worth owning if you like their other discs.

I think it's more spotty then thickfreakness with some sort of goofy attempts at experimenting.

I'd probably rank their albums:

Thickfreakness
The Big Come Up
Rubber Factory

though they're all really good.

I prefer Thickfreakness to Rubber Factory but they're both awesome.

Damn close.

I've seen em a bunch of times, but the absolute best was when they opened for fucking SOLOMON BURKE. They turned up the heat on that one. They closed with She Said She Said, and the audience who was already in the palm of their hand completely lost their shit. It was at an outdoor amphitheater too, upper crust no whooping it up 30s - 40s just screaming their damn heads off.

It was sweet.

They released a pretty good live DVD too. Well worth the price.
