He's playing at a party I'm invited to on Friday, so I'll let you know what I think.

I have never heard his music, so it'll be an uninformed opinion.

Oh damn!
If he puts on a good show, you are in for a serious treat.
The man basically invented psychadelic music... or was at least on the forefront. And please tell his drummer Freddie that Todd from Hop On Pop (Tim's friend) says hey.

This is awesome news! His anthology could be one of the best anthologies ever made. It came out last year and people interested in Rory should definitely check it out.

i guess this is nice news. and then i noticed this article:

Quote:
At the June 24-25 Intonation festival, such Vice acts as the Streets and Bloc Party will headline, with key support coming from stoner rock act High on Fire and up-and-coming hip-hop artists Lady Sovereign and Chicago's Lupe Fiasco. A number of acts are still to be announced, and [Intonation co-founder Jonathan] Singer has his fingers crossed for some big names: "We've been heavily courting Leonard Cohen and Brian Eno," he says.

nothing against roky erickson, but i hope he's not who they settled for after teasing goers with cohen or eno and then possibly being snubbed.
