It's not like the album, but it was so impressive musically, high energy, the crowd was bumping, and he was completely, totally over the top.

who opened for him? i meant to write a review about the show in la but i've been crazy lately...

the show in la was INCREDIBLE. sampling his voice, and just going NUTS. the crowd was way into it... never seen so many la kids dance before.

the opening act was jimmy edgar who was also amazing.

definitely going to catch jamie again at coachella (pending he doesn't conflict with any other acts i haven't seen yet).

jimmy edgar and chandeliers opened.

I missed chandeliers and was mildly impressed with what I heard from edgar without being moved.

Damn, James. My fault if you didn't go based on my email to his promoter. It was just him on stage, right? If so, we saw that and were rather bored throughout the set. Hmmm...

no, i wasn't planning to go anyway. there were some good moments at our show, but yeah, it was overall kinda boring. i mean, we walked out of there and were talking about super furry animals by the end of the block. i won't be seeing him again unless it's the full band.
