Anyone recall an Estrus album by a band called Black Jack (ES 1241)? It was like 2 continual tracks, about 40 mins long, of brutish, thick-skulled garage rock that sounded like a cross between the muppets and the Misfits. Song titles like "Uterus Hammer", "Down Syndrome" and "Step on You".

A friend of mine picked up this CD in a discount bin and it became kind of like a guilty cult classic for us. It's so ballsy and meatheaded it's hilarious. Thing is, we were never able to find anything out about Black Jack, other than that they were from New Jersey, I think. The CD was released sometime in the 90s.

Never heard of that band but I was/am down with MOAM?, MonoMen, and tons of their other garage/surf bands. One of those labels which has weathered the storms.
