i'll definitely check it out. i loved the first album, but there was only a few tracks on the last one that grabbed me.

I've been listening to it for a while now, and it's really good. Kind of a combination of the first two, but probably closer in sound to Built on Squares. Some of the tracks are immediate, others are growers, but it's all good.

i want to check this out. i liked the first album and saw them live with brian wilson many years ago. they made that show. he was a cardboard cutout slamming away on an unplugged electric piano.

and i WORSHIP the guy.

I think that might have been The Wondermints, who are also good, but somewhat different stylistically.

No, no...I think you'd also like Starlight Mints, and completely understand how you got them confused. I mean, how many bands can there be with "Mints" in their name?

Really looking forward to this one. I loved Dream That Stuff Was Made Of but was a little disappointed with BOS. They're a lot of fun live.

Nice - the first 4 or 5 songs off the first album are cotton-candy indie genius.

To be honest I didn't even know they put out a 2nd album. Unless somebody recommends I probably won't bother with it; the misses on the 1st album were pretty boring - don't need more of that.

I seem to remember several obnites who liked Built On Squares better than the debut---you may want to check it out.

Yeah and I think they're from the same state or region at least. Simple mix up. Go easy on yourself there ayah.
