From their MS page:

Hello friends around the world,

we could really do with your help right now :

This morning between 5am and 8.30 am our van was broken into in the "secure, with security guard" car park of the Doug Fir Lonuge hotel and venue in Portland, Oregon.

The following stuff was stolen, leaving us broke, sad and not really able to play tonight or at all for that matter. If you kindred spirits out there could keep an eye on Ebay to see if these stolen things appear, then let us know, and in the mean time if you are from Portland/Seattle area and want to donate gear for a performance we would be truly blessed.

1 x 1979 Sunburst Fender Precision Bass

1 x Olympic White Fender Jazzmaster

1 x 1966 White Fender Jaguar, with mottled tortoise-shell red scratch plate

1 x Fender Deluxe reverb Amp, 1x12 speaker. New

PEDALS!!! - FENDER BLENDER, 1 Mxr DISTORTION, 2 x Rat Pedal, 3x Boss Tuning pedals, 1x Big Muff fuzz, 1x FullTone SoulBender, Coloursound Wah Wah, 1x MXR micro Amp

Olly's Paste 2002 Cymbals - in heavy 26" black flight case with meatl edging, crap metal handle with tape all round it

ALL THE GUITARS Are in Red DUKE SPIRIT FLIGHT CASES .

These fuckers who did this should be hung by their nutsacks.

Didn't they take down some crew of these fuckers after the Decembrists got jacked?

I swear there's gotta be some Musician Equipment Stealing Mafia in the country -- so many bands getting their equipment jacked is way too coincidental.

maybe the "security" is getting something to "watch" the "secure" parking lot.

Man, bands are going to start avoiding PDX if this keeps up - The Decemberist's stuff was taken from there, Rob Dickinson had some stuff stolen and I'm sure the list is a lot longer than that....

Uh... Russians? They need to rock too, but instruments are hard to come by.

In Russia, instruments play you.

An Update:
hello friends

it seems that people out there are truly fucking good to us, and we have had many offers of stuff to borrow since our gear got stolen.

If you have emailed us, thanks so so much, we will be in touch if we need your stuff!

We have no intention of cancelling anything, so come on down.

SPIRIT LOVES YA, BABY

P.S. Ryan of Brooklyn, we didn't thank you enough for your hospitality. One more time! And Gina too...And Dan / Guitar Centre from Portland, thanks for saving our show.

While I'm here, I might as well mention www.greasenotgas.com again. Revolution, right there x

i hope they come back to nyc.

I think the vocals are weak on The Duke Spirit album, but the music is great.

I'm gonna say this once, Portland, so listen up and listen good.

Do not fuck with us.

Do we look like Canadians to you? Do you think Philly is just gonna sit back and let you co-opt our thing?! The Duke Spirit was here. They were ours for the fleecing, make no mistake about it. And we sure as fuck didn't issue them a get-out-of-jail free card just so a bunch of sorry-ass, wannabe-Californian hippie dipshits could cash in on our generosity two weeks later.

I already despised your city for giving birth to The Decemberists, but now it's way more personal. If you send those jangly assholes back to Philly any time soon, rest assured, they're gonna get robbed six ways from shitty tunes about chimney sweeps. Believe the beef, Portlosers.

definitely meth freaks - big problem around here. especially a lot of meth heads in the area where this venue is. right over the bridge from it are all the portland homeless shelters as well.
