So, I like some of the minimalist stuff that IKEA has, but I also like nice furniture. Anyone got knowledge of any other interesting furniture-type places? Obviously the expensiveness is a factor as well...

they have some neat stuff but unfortunately you cant order any of it online or through the catalog and all of their stores are in the PA Northwest. Bummer. I actually like one of the sofas they have.

They have four in the chicago burbs...

Yeah...a little too fucking expensive. I love their furniture, but just my office would cost 3K+, with the master bedroom and living room still to go.

The European Furniture Warehouse in Chicago has some really cool stuff, but it is a bit more expensive than IKEA.

The construction is a lot better and it's the best value for modern furniture that I have found.
