It's probably the one song on the album that is most-similar to what I think of when I think of a "Tom Zé Sound". In reality though, he is all over the damn map. And I'm not so sure this is the "best" song on the album. I've only listened once. It's still good, though.

Anyway, enjoy!
And let me know what you think.

The new Tom Ze album is awful actually. I was going to buy it but after listening to it, I quickly changed my mind.

Yes.
I goddamn love this guy.
He sounds nothing like anything most of the people around here listen to. And that is probably a great deal of the appeal to me.

The guy is a complete and total freak. This song isn't even close to being his most left field offering. And I expect a lot of you to hate this. It's just so different and odd, that I feel I need to share it... lest you all miss out on something that you could possibly love. (I do.)

After a couple of listens, I totally disagree with you.

Well you have that right. I'm not surprised you love this album since you also like Cafe Tacuba and I think they're awful. At least you're consistent. ;)

I am actually more curious about Café Tacuba than a fan of theirs. A bit disappointed by what I've heard from them to tell you the truth, after a few listens.

But I will not disagree that portions of my listening tastes run contrary to those of the majority of the board. Witness: Shrimp Boat ;)

But that doesn't discourage me from sharing. In fact it only breeds hope that I'll be able to turn a few of you on to something you otherwise never would have never searched out otherwise.

I'm goofy like that.
