this is one of those movies that -- though i like --, without the soundtrack, is nothing.

I own the movie, Instrumental SDTK by Air and the SDTK featuring all the 70's songs from the film.
I don't like it as much as I did when it first came out and I was in Grad School, but it is a nice, slightly disturbing movie that my girlfriend actually likes to watch with me.

I think the movie would have been good without the music. In fact, with the exception of Playground Love with lyrics at the end, I don't really remember to much of the soundtrack.

Book is definitely better than the film.

Anyone ever read his other book Middlesex? I wonder if this book is autobiographical at all of Jeffrey Eugenides.

Book and movie are watchable/readable, but nothing to write home about. SDTK is good, tho.

I didn't like the film the first time I watched it mostly because Hartnett and Dunst seem like real-life idiots. But the dvd was on sale for $10 so I bought it and enjoyed it more.

I wasn't a huge fan of the book and haven't read Middlesex yet either.
