Been listening to Manitoba's Up In Flames today and this has gradually grown into one of my favorite releases from last year. Love the Beatles psychedelic sound, almost like Spiritualized or Yo La Tengo filtered through that "Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds" looking glass. Chaotic at times but pretty cool stuff. "Jacknuggetted" even borrows a bit from YLT's "Sugarcube", although it does go in a little different direction slightly reminiscent of Broken Social Scene. Maybe mixed with a little Fat Boy Slim or Banco de Gaia or some other purveyoor of the bouncy big beats.

Anyway, fun CD and I always reach for the repeat button after this one finishes playing Image

Yeah I played the heck out of it last year. It's sort of hypnotic.

I bought it earlier this year and have never been able to digest it. For me, it's okay background music, but that's about it. Although, 'Jacknuggetted' kicks my ass everytime I hear it...best song IMO.

I like it a lot, and this isn't normally my sort of thing. I really wish that "Twins" was longer, cause I love it.
