yeah, that's what your amateur pharmacist recommends as well, but alas that's only by prescription. over the counter, or household items, good look...maybe try excedrin (i think they make an excedrin migraine or someting) but i wouldn't expect much from that.

I was prescribed Fiorgen a couple weeks back, got to try it out for the first time yesterday. Did a decent job taking the edge off the pain, but didn't get rid of it entirely. Brought it down to a decent level, enough so that I could sleep, which really helped.

Migraines completely blow. Get thee to a neurologist and get checked out - I've got an appointment in 2 weeks.

I've found that excedrin migraine works pretty well. I used to get migraines a lot, but I think they weren't as bad as other people's based on others' descriptions. Orgasms help too.

Umm. Actually, most of the docs say that coffee (caffeinated) and smoking are bringer-ons of migraines. I have never heard that coffee helps reduce or get rid of a migraine. It's never worked for me.

I second the Excedrin Migraine though. If it is a painful but you're still mobile migraine, this pill works great.

Hey, anything's worth a try! Seriously, I don't know how anyone would be able to even get interested, let alone actually orgasm, during a serious migraine.

For some temporary relief, sit under a warm shower with the water directed on your head. It really helps me feel better for a while. I don't know why - maybe it distracts my brain from the pain? It comes back immediately afterward, of course, but at least for a little while it feels okay. If I could, I'd spend all day sitting under the shower during a migraine.

It might benefit anyone who suffers migraines fairly often to keep track of what you're eating and any unusual events in the day or two before one occurs. I've found out the hard way that extremely bright days combined with eating a bunch of crappy processed foods can be a very bad combination. Stress and lack of sleep are also key factors.
