Maybe some of you have noticed that every year, four new state quarters come out with designs on the back. Which one's your favorite?

I particularly like these:

Vermont

North Carolina

Kentucky

Maine

Oregon

Some of them are so bad they're pathetic though.

I keep hoping that Utah is going to issue one with the Angel Moroni giving the gift of three wives to every faithful Mormon man.

I just noticed that some of the design entries that lost are way better than the winning entries, examples:

Maryland

Louisiana

Maine and Oregon are qual.

I think Maryland is the one with the big ship...That's my fave.

Alabama's is attrocious.

Maryland has the State House on it, with "Old Line State". I think the 3 Jamestown boats are on Virginia's.

Helen Keller for Alabama? Niiiice.

I do like the new Jefferson nickels, though.

I like the ones where they couldn't really find anything interesting about the state to highlight:

Image Image

Especially the New Hampshire "Old Man of the Mountain," which collapsed like 2 years after they issued the quarter.

The Euro coinage is far, far better than anything we've come up with in the last 50 years:

Greece

Italy

C'mon now. There's far, far worse than this.

Well I'd differentiate between actual shitty thread titles and so-bland-they're-awesome ones.
