Has anyone picked up a ThinkPad since IBM sold the division over to Lenovo? I was looking for a non-desktop replacement, and I was sold on the ThinkPads a while back. I haven't heard anything since the hand-off though. Any thoughts?

Year or so ago? Not that long ago. If I recall, IBM sent a bunch of their guys to China to set-up and train everyone.

Hey, Neuro, care to share any specs and/or likes/dislikes, turn-ons/offs?

The wife has one from 3 years ago, PIII, 30gig. Either the battery or the charger (I think the charger) just died. SUCKS. But yeah, it was "old" for a laptop.

there's not really anything i don't like about it--it's a nice machine. i'd go for the laptop instead of the tablet, though, for no other reason then it seems somewhat superfluous to pay extra for it. i guess if i had to pick something in don't like i'd say that it can be a pain to have the cd-rom on the dock rather than built in to the laptop but it does make it a whole lot smaller. and, um, the keyboard has a more satisfying "click" when compared to the ibm version.

is there anything in particular you're interested in hearing about?
