I have to hear this.

Edit: It's IDENTICAL to the Nine Inch Nails version except for the vocals not being as good. They didn't change anything at all though.

Oh man. There's not one song on that tracklisting that doesn't sound painful.

No punk band should ever cover Bjork.

Or Alanis or REM or Toad The Wet Sprocket, for that matter.

Anberlin, Copeland and Emery are I think. From what I understand, Mae avoids the Christian title like a kick to the penis.

I guess it depends on what you mean by Churchy. But I did smoke weed with two of the members of Mae and Vendetta Red (not saying they're christiany--purely name dropping--albeit not too great a name drop) about 3 years ago. Don't ask me how that situation came about. Nevertheless, I don't think mae sings overtly christian songs.

regardless mae IS still on tooth and nail which is still a christian rock label. they don't really promote that t&n is really "christian" rock... it's more or less supposed to be about clean morals, values, etc.

now if we really want to get "churchy" go listen to starfield on cmg or jeremy camp.

Tooth & Nail Records is a Seattle-based independent record label that has been around for over a decade, with close to 200 releases to their credit [as well as numerous imprint labels, the most well known of which being Solid State Records]. Tooth & Nail is best known for being the launching pad for such massively popular bands as MxPx, Further Seems Forever, The Juliana Theory, and P.O.D., as well as the breeding ground for groups that have gone onto other labels such as Slick Shoes, Stavesacre, Frodus, and Squad Five-O.

Much controversy revolves around Tooth & Nail's roster, with the brunt of the issues focusing on the bands' religious preferences. While many bands on the Tooth & Nail roster may contain members who are Christian, Tooth & Nail as an entity has never claimed to be a strictly "Christian" label. As religion has always been a hotly contested issue within punk rock, many of these groups have become - for lack of a better term - "martyred" by fans.

I once shot up with Stryper and later did blow with Michael W. Smith.
