disagree. TH are epic for sure, but IMO they only really have one kinda style/sound, and although that sound is awesome, it can get old after a little while. however, GD > Phish.

guh? yikes.

It would take me less than three minutes to find more delusional gushing by you about bands.

Also, Phish's version of 'Crosseyed and Painless' is indeed stellar.

I'm somehow glad I don't understand what this thread is about.

One guy is saying that the Talking Heads are boring, the other one is saying that they sound like Phish before there was a Phish.

both are wrong but no more delusional than tons of shit i see spouted here on a daily basis.

Well I was, after all, a Phish fan.

Here's a translation:

The Talking Heads performance at the Saratagoa Performing Arts Center in 1983 is better than Phish's respective performance there.

Could somebody please YSI me the Talking Heads performance from SPAC in 1983? They originally wrote the song "Crosseyed and Painless" which Phish covers, so therefore Phish is essentially just ripping them off. I want to hear the original stuff.

I think that mostly speaks for itself. He thinks the Talking Heads are a great band, but they really only have ONE KINDA STYLE/SOUND, and although it is awesome, IT CAN GET OLD AFTER A LITTLE WHILE. However, Grateful Dead performances at SPAC are better than those of Phish.

The GD comment has nothing to do with anything, this guy just feels the need to express the supremacy of his belief in the Dead.

It would be like me going into the Sonic Youth thread, saying that they just do the same shit over and over and it gets boring, and then adding, "By the way, Spoon is better." It makes no sense.

I'm trying to get the most bang for my buck.

That and that whole "not suffering fools gladly" thing...
