I was just in Amoeba for the first time when we went out to LA. We didn't even get through a whole section. I could spend a week in there, it's like a scavenger hunt!

I lived in the Mission District of San Francisco and remember the day Amoeba opened. So I truly understand the awesomeness and the depression at the same time. I was on a three-week schedule and have spent over 10 K (IIRC) at that store alone.

The San Francisco store is the best because of the selection and price. They do have a deeper catalog (better buyers) though Los Angeles is a bigger store. I’m about to get a new job right by Amoeba Los Angeles, so there goes my paycheck.

I've never had any problems with the people who work at Amoeba. I always get a smile -- are you sure you're not referring to one employee in particular, Dri?

NO i promise. well, especially her too... but i know our a&r dept doesn't like dealing with amoeba because whenever they call looking for something, they are always rude. and whenever i'm shopping there and can't find something and ask one of the workers nicely, i get attitude. ugh.

in any case, my goal is still to live there so i can fire all the snotty employees!

I have always had good experiences with the employees there...
