now i know it's time for a few of you to shine!

here's what i got so far

1 - living colour - cult of personality
2 - bon jovi - you give love a bad name
3 - kenny loggins - danger zone
4 - stan bush - dare
5 - guns'n'roses - welcome to the jungle
6 - tears for fears - shout
7 - def leppard - pour some sugar on me
8 - survivor - eye of the tiger
9 -
10 -
11 -
12 - simple minds - don't you forget about me
13 - van halen
14 - midnight oil - beds are burning
15 - Yello - Oh Yeah
16 - Modern English - I Melt With You
17 - Romantics - What I Like About You
18 - Kenny Loggins - Footloose
19 - Peter Gabriel - In Your Eyes
20 - Eric Carmen - Make Me Lose Control

Criteria:
- Must be from the 80s
- Must be a song my bro will know (i.e. a "hit" or something from a movie he's seen)
- Must rockin'. unless of course the song is super super awesome. no wimpy pop and no rap (i'll have a whole 'nother mix with rap). To put it simply - i want some radio rock, nothing too wimpy pop, nor too heavy metal.

welcome to the jungle is the frontrunner until i hear otherwise

was "eye of the tiger" from the 80s? if yes, it's in.

tears for fears - shout = yes.

i'm thinking "i melt with you" also should be on there.

also, i'm thinking "tainted love" by soft cell, but someone talk me out of it.

must be rockin', eh?

Adam Ant - Goody Two Shoes
Def Leppard - Photograph or Pour Some Sugar on Me
Midnight Oil - Beds are Burning
INXS - Need You Tonight
Any Pat Benatar, but he might be more likely to recognize "Love is a Battlefield." (I personally would prefer Heartbreaker or You Better Run)
Blondie - One Way or Another
Uh, pretty much any Van Halen from 1984
The Vapors - Turning Japanese

For Van Halen, Jump was the biggest hit, but Hot for Teacher and Panama were pretty big hits too.

What about the Boys are Back in Town by the Bus Boys?
Also, might be classified as wimpy rock, but "If You Leave" by OMD and "Don't You Forget About Me" by Simple Minds were pretty popular and on movie soundtracks.

Or even (gag, I can't believe I'm suggesting this) Billy Squier's "Everybody Wants You?"

Red Rider, "Lunatic Fringe"
Billy Thorpe, "Children of the Sun"
Billy Squier, either "The Stroke" or "Everybody Wants You" or that other one

And then, just for a change of pace, Devo, "Mongoloid" or perhaps their cover of "Secret Agent Man"

How about another song from Valley Girl, The Plimsouls' "Million Miles Away"

Two of the bigger radio songs were Night Ranger's "Sister Christian" and that song by Mr. Mister (Kyrie...or however you spell it)

And you can't go wrong with .38 Special. Maybe "Caught Up In You" They also had that song on the Teachers soundtrack, "Teacher Teacher"

This stuff makes my head hurt.

I totally second Love Removal Machine! One of the greatest rock songs of the 80's, hell, ever!
