Uh. Okay.

How many times am I supposed to listen to this CD before I fall in love with it and can't live without it?

Count so far: 1

Hey Rocky, they are okay. The pleasure shot downwards quite quickly after a few spins though dude.

I tried and tried months ago and I usually love this "sound." I might have burnt out on it. I will try once more.

Good album. I never quite got that into it, but it's always an enjoyable listen.

Had heard nothing by them until SXSW and was blown away by the live show.
Probably my favorite discovery of the week.

Fleetwood Mac

Also sounds like something that came out in the 70's, production and likewise. Should be better than it actually is but it is just kind of there. I liked it for a while but haven't heard it in a very long time.

np: David Bowie - Scary Monsters (third time ever)

the first half of the album is classic...I think it kinda slows down after that...

This song has been stuck in my head since I bought the album a week ago. One of the best songs of 2005 for sure.

I've been listening to this again today and I think I agree with you. There are about 4-5 songs that are great pop songs and then the rest of the album is fine but not that exciting.

Great. Definitely front-loaded with the pop stuff, but the sad songs are great too.

The BGV's make this record. So sugary.

This is the first record that my two year-old daughter has specifically asked for when I put on music. I hear it a lot.
