i found a folder next to the water fountain at my office today. inside was my boss' file for someone she'd interviewed for my position. i'm only a temp right now, so i know she's interviewing, but i like this job and i'm a little upset that my boss has basically told me that i don't like it, which is why she's interviewing. (i think she wants a girl to have this job.) i also know that it's pretty bad to leave personal HR information like that in an open hallway.

so what should i do? one of my co-workers suggested that i hand it over to HR, which should inevitably get my boss in trouble for leaving it out, but the HR director here is not the brightest bulb. others have suggested that i ditch the file. and i'm considering just giving it back to her myself, but holding it over her head for awhile. (this is not really out of the ordinary for her.)

i don't have anything against her, other than her various levels of incompetence and trying to be sneaky with interviews, like keeping interviewees away from my area or interviewing people only on days when i'm not here.

i'd say just give it back to the boss. if you really do want the job it might gain you some points with her rather than going the HR route. unless you play dumb and that you found the folder and didn't know who it belonged to.

Call the interviewee up and pretend to be your boss's boss. Interview them again. Then have them come in for a third interview with HR.

Eh, I would just drop it off at HR.. which is probably what you would do if it wasnt your boss?
But thats only if it doesnt really matter what you do .. if it matters one way or another, then Id do whatever you think would get you the job lol

yeah, my boss seems to have made the assumption that i don't like this job and she's been trying to find someone with more experience and a better phone voice than me (because apparently no one uses email).

i just interviewed for another position in the company and it went well, so i may not even have to deal with my boss by this time next month, but you never know...

If you get the other job, DEFINITELY fuck with her.

I dont know, all jokes aside, Id take the high road.. you never know.. its easy to fuck with people that dont have their shit together..
