I have an exam tomorrow and I have done zero revision and can't even remember the lectures (They were in term 1, six months ago).

You see I had an exam today and all my revision time this week was focused on that leaving me with just a day to revise for my exam tomorrow but when I got out the exam today I was too tired to go to the library so I came home. I'm just going to take a shower and go to bed now cos I'm completely fucked but of course that leaves me with a few hours between getting up tomorrow and the exam (2pm) to learn something about archaeology.

I'm pretty happy with my performances in my other exams so far, and the next one (after tomorrow) is a week and a half away so I can study for that easy enough but this one I'm a little worried about disgracing myself in!

I heard today someone got a 'G' for their paper in Classics. Ha ha ha. I wonder if I'll match him.

What's your worst ever exam experience or grade?

I flunked the 'Biological Aspects of Human Sexuality' a independent learning course I took for a science credit in undergrad. It was during the summer and well, I was pretty drunk for most of '96. It's hardly an excuse, but that's about the worst one. I dropped the course after that, but it was after the deadline to drop, so I've got a 'F' on my transcript forever linked to my lack of knowledge about how babies are made and the parts required to make them.

Several experiences in freshman year at college similar to this---the most memorable was a physics midterm at 8a.m. on a Wednesday, after being up drinking until 3a.m. on a Tuesday night. I remember stumbling back to the dorm room trying to recall Bornouli's equation, thinking I had it down. Needless to say, I got a 30% on that exam. I think I managed to pull a C out of the course that semester.

I knew I was going to bomb my English final one year, so I skipped my second class, knocked back beers for an hour and half (remember Bud Ice?!?), went to my English class, filled out the exam and as I was walking out three people were coming into class.

The only one that comes to mind was when I was in 7th grade pre-algebra class with this hideous teacher. She was just truly disgusting to look at, and even harder to listen to due to her monotone voice. I had gotten sick during the term, and was out for about a week with a pretty severe cold. Naturally I missed a crapload of stuff, and had to make up a test when I came back, on interpolation (i.e. figuring out the square roots of numbers without using a calculator). I couldn't even tell you how it's done now. Anyway, I studied the night before but was still not feeling well. I had a horrible nightmare where I was in a maze, and had to figure out a square root before I could open the door and move on. I woke up exhausted, nervous and angry. I went to school to take the test and got a (drum roll please) 59. I didn't give a shit though. I think I made it out of the hag's class with a high C.

you think a 59 is bad? i got a 23 on my art history test today, because the questions were extremely unclear. the majority of them were something to the extent of:
"in this society, _______ was important to creating the art of the indigenous people" and it was a test on 7 chapters, and the questions never specified what fucking chapter, area, group of people the question was about.
god it pissed me off and we will take a retest.
i demand it

oh man...so many in college.

best one was geology 101. this was the morning of the HFStival, and the first "big" one when they actually moved it to RFK. the festival was obviously much more important than the final, and the night before a friend had bought a bunch of mescaline just for the occasion. so i decided it would be a good idea to take the mescaline, quickly take the final and then it would "hit" by the time i got back home and met up with friends to head to DC. you can see where this is heading...why i didn't just skip the final altogether i can't tell you.
i start feeling a little something right as i'm starting the test (you know that stomach-in-knots pre-trip feeling?). at this point, i want to get the hell out of there asap, so i'm just filling in those little bubbles on the scantron sheet as fast as i can. i'm done in about 15 minutes and run down to hand it in. oh, another thing -- a 100 level class at the univeristy of maryland means a 300+ seat lecture hall too. by the time i get down the stairs to the front of the lecture hall, i'm pretty much tripping. i hand it in to the TA, turn around and see what seems like 300 faces just staring at me in disbelief that i'm done. and of course the exits are at the top of the lecture hall. have you ever climbed stairs while tripping balls while 300 kids stare at you? not easy. i had to concentrate so hard not to fall over while my legs felt like jelly.

needless to say, i got an F in geology 101.

but the festival was fucking awesome.

Anyone here ever taken a logic course?

Those exams take the cake for my worst ever. The professor handed me the C-, considering I got a 54 on the first test and easily failed the final.

Sometimes being a lost little freshman has its perks. Like not failing out of pity.

The worst grade and exam experience I can recall would be the 24 or 26 I got on my first Computer Science 150 class. It dealt with BASIC, which I was good at in the labs, but had not really read the gigantic textbook. I ended up dropping that class at the last minute.
I also had a Biology 100 test that nearly everyone in the section failed, but I somehow pulled a B on a heavily curved scale. I think I probably got a 54 or something like it on the actual exam. We had to have a huge meeting with the head of the department and the Assistant Professor who was teaching that semester. Needless to say, she didn't teach there the next year and the head of the department ended up teaching the second half of the semester.

It was just the one time that I remembered vividly. I've gotten 20s/30s on tests before. I did flunk Physics in college. That's when I changed my major. ;)

I took a business administration class during my first year of college and studied like crazy for my first exam. On the exam we were supposed to choose 5 of the 8 listed questions and write a few paragraphs on each. For some stupid reason I thought we were only supposed to do one so I spent 50 minutes perfecting one single essay question.

I got a 20 out of 100 and the teacher asked me to spend some time with him after class to figure out how in the hell something like that could have happened.

Picture this:
First semester of college, three hour bio final in the morning, four hour chem final in the afternoon. I'm already stressed out from a week of finals, four more hours and i'm home-free.

I walk into the lecture hall, get my exam looking down and realize that can't do about half of the chemistry on the exam. I spent four hours in a heart-wrenching quest for partial credit points, just enough to pass. I walk out of lecture hall and drive home for winter break, get my grades back. I was so happy that i ended up with a C+ that i almost cried, it may have something to do with the fact that i played soccer with the chem proffesor... :D

My worst exam experience was going in to take the SATs, realizing I'm a dumbass, and proceeding to score lower than Dexter Manley and Vince Young combined.

My worst exam is trying to make sense of this post. Revision? G???

Anyway, I went to a linear algebra final once, having attended lecture exactly once during the semester. I wrote in my blue book. "Im sorry for having wasted your time" and left.

Needless to say, I scored a zero.
