And am wondering what the f I am going to do. Considering a white water trip on the Snake, but not sure how easy that is to do over a weekend. Did a cursory search for music, didn't find anything. The guy who I am going with is not the type to leave the hotel, so am a little unsure...

Any Obners know Boise?

The Neurolux gets some decent shows:

I see a lot of bands stop there before or after Salt Lake. Check out their calendar.

I would fill as many gas cans as possible...gas is cheapest in Idaho.

I don't know how far Boise is from Ketchum or Sun Valley, but Whiskey Jacques in Ketchum always seemed to have good talent travel through on their calendar whenever I played there. and then over the state line from that is Jackson Hole which is god damn amazing in any season, truly a beautiful place to get outdoors.

Cool, the Snake. Is the Evel Kneivel site still accessible?

you should go to the University of Boise Pavillion or wherever it was that Phish played on September 14, 1999. It's a legendary show. Sick Bag.

Finished up the first week, couple of notes:

*Boise is a cool city, love the healthiness / outdoorsy feel of it
*People very nice, easy to meet
*Thank God I am here and not in New England where it has rained for a week straight, with no end in sight - weather here has been amazing
*As for music, going to see George Clinton and P-Funk Wed

Did some biking earlier in the week, went up Sidewinder, had a friend of a friend that had an extra bike. I nearly died on the trip, but was a great ride

that's what it's about. the closer you are to death the better you're doing. i can't wait to get back to the states and hit up the trails near my house. haven't rode them in nearly a year.

Go to the Record Exchange for a good record store. Next to the Nuerolux...they have a good jukebox and stiff drinks. 113 N 11th St

Have breakfast at Goldy's downtown. Best breakfast in town. It's just off Main St at 108 S Capitol Blvd. It's a small place but worth it.
