my pet peeve of the day is my wife.

She has not let me go christmas shopping by myself yet this year. I told here I was going to pick up a couple of last minute things for my little brother (racquetballs and a glove) and that I was going to run out to K-Mart at lunch and get them.
I also need to get her something.

So she comes up with the brilliant idea that she wants to have lunch with me so she can do this last bit of shopping with me.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaaagggggghhhhhhh.

I had to tell her no, I'm going by myself. Then she gets mad, like "Why can't I come?" And I say, "well I need to get you something too." To which she replies, "I don't want anything from K-Mart." AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAArrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgggggggghhh.
and I respond with a "who said I am getting your gift at K-Mart?"

So I think she is having lunch with me, and she is getting a big fat nothing for Christmas, which is going to ruin her Christmas this year.

I need to plan further ahead and get her gift via that internet thing this year. I just couldn't come up with something. I still really don't have anything ideas yet.

Tell her that you had to special order he gift, and that it is at the store. Then have lunch w/ her, take her home, and go shopping.

i think you should grab her by the shoulders, kiss her on the forehead, shake her vigorously, then go shopping.

I can't have lunch with her and then go shopping. I am at work and will only have my lunch hour to shop. She has the car, so I will need to take the train to the K-Mart, and shop there and look around desperately for another store around. There are a few. I'm sure there is a Radio Shack, but what can I get her form there?

Get her a day at a spa, they slay women.

(If I get her a gun, she might use it on our son, who has quite a temper and doesn't seem to like taking naps anymore, especially since we have company. I think he feels like he needs to entertain.)

She'd probably like something hand made, by me, or romantic that we could use together, but she would know it was really for her because it's something I really would never do on my own, like go to an Abba musical. Romantic, but I would never do that on my own. (used this a couple years ago, and she still talks about it.)

You're an architect - build her an amazing little dollhouse out of office supplies.

So the question is:

What does she love that you hate?

Then get her whatever that is.

I hear cans of pork 'n' beans are a hot gift this year....

Or better yet, get her something that you want and she'll hate.
